True presence

True Presence.

True presence

- don't we all deserve it?

True presence is a workshop that builds connection through authentic conversations and heartfelt exercises. Something happened to all of us during the Corona crisis. You have changed. But we react differently, have different interpretations and also conclude different things.

It's about finding ourselves, and embracing each other anew. You have all been affected by closures, redundancies, lay-offs and perhaps worse. Together but at a distance has worked, but perhaps mostly on paper.

That's why many teams benefit from a fresh start. And this process should be authentically involving. Because if you're living in the hope of finding your way back to the good old days, many teams are doing the math without a host.

On this common path back and forth there is for presence and inclusiveness. For some see the crisis as an opportunity, some see it as a threat, some don't see it at all, while others are still caught in the web of the corona.

Maintaining team presence creates a new kind of team cohesion through inclusiveness and empathy.

The Ambitious Teams workshop book ensures maximum impact

As a participant you will receive a designed workshop booklet that highlights and puts into perspective the thoughts and feelings that the team has during the workshop.

1

The workshop booklet allows each participant to understand him/herself better by challenging the thought patterns and habits acquired during the Corona.

2

The workshop booklet should thus be seen as an opportunity for each participant to explore his or her own identity, to the benefit of the whole team.

3

The workshop booklet is also a very useful tool for the HR manager who is responsible in the long run for bringing people in safely.

The workshop booklet is your guarantee that the process of becoming more authentic and connected is successful.

True presence

One almost suffers from skin thirst! We humans are social creatures who thrive best with other people around us - at least from time to time. After long shutdowns and restrictions, we are like bears just waiting to wake up from hibernation. We've exhausted our stores during the repatriations in our cold cave and lonely sleep. Well, we've also enjoyed creating our own space at home and acquiring new habits that are hard to shake off.

New times and new possibilities make feeble promises of the time ahead, and that creates longing in body and soul. We want to bathe in each other's light, feast on the fish of the river and share stories and experiences that have missed listening ears. We look forward to seeing colleagues, but even more to finally being seen. The ego hopes for real presence... on the ego's own terms.

But if we want to preserve or even create authentic presence in the team, we must be aware that giving and receiving often go hand in hand. What is it you give, what is it you want to receive? We now have a legitimate opportunity to be genuinely curious about ourselves and each other.

Imagine that you are meeting with your old primary school class. You'll have fun seeing your old friends, but in reality you'll be looking to see if they've really changed. This is difficult to discern at first glance. In fact, we humans tend to notice the recognisable, what we have seen before. Then everything is the same and we don't need to get the old brain to go into fight, flight or freeze mode.

But when will we have this golden opportunity again. That everyone meets each other with new eyes. If you can avoid it, don't put your colleague in the same old box in the head. Ask questions, be curious and listen to the personal journey he or she has been on. Chances are the colleague has changed, gained new beliefs and if nothing else, longer hair. If you want to maintain presence in the team, you need to be present yourself.

Call or write Ambitious Teams if you want to make yourself and your team feel significantly more connected.
